Our trip to North Georgia
We just got back from a short trip to North Georgia. My mom went with us. Our first stop was in Cumming, Ga. My friend Lynn moved there in the last year. We had such a great time. We first stopped by the North Georgia outlets to do a little shopping. Lynn's brother is a rodeo minister and was in Dahlonega for the weekend. We took a short drive to the R Ranch. Luke and Levi were excited to see the animals. We had dinner that evening in Cumming and then went to see the Buford Dam. I couldn't believe how low Lake Lanier still is.
Saturday morning we headed to Blue Ridge, Ga to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad. It was lots of fun. Luke and Levi made lots of new friends on our train ride, including a man from Jackson, Ga named George Washington and his wife Jan. After sharing names and where we were from, I knew I would never forget his name!
The drive home was complete after we stopped for a cookies and cream milkshake from Chick-fil-a. Have you tried those shakes???????? They are addictive, so don't get one unless you are prepared to stop for one every time you see a Chick-fil-a!
Our evening ended with Bluegrass music on the main street in Tallapoosa. We love our little town and all the fun activities we have here.
